7 May 1906 •  Death of John J Hayes, Father of Jeremiah Hayes at the Paper Mill. His son Jeremiah was 16 just years old.

24 Jun 1918 •  Marriage to Margaret Mary Sheehan in Manchester New Hampshire.

01 Jan 1920 •  30 years old, now HOH, living with wife, Margaret  Mother Jane, and sister Jane at 35 Front Street. Was an overseer at the Hosiery Mill in Manchester, NH.

27 May 1920  •  Birth and Death of their first child, Margaret.

1921  •  First Mention of Jeremiah owning a store at 80 Front Street, diagonally across from where they lived.

02 Jan 1922  •  Birth of John J Hayes in Manchester, NH  (father of Philip Hayes)

12 Jun 1926  •  Birth of Andrea Hayes in Manchester, NH (mother of Patty Hogan).

31 July 1927 •  Death of Jane Bridget Kelty Hayes, Jeremiah’s mother.

1929  •  Jeremiah Hayes  now a Salesman. The variety store is no more.

5 April 1930 •  Jeremiah now living at 63 B Street in Manchester.

1934  •  Jeremiah and family first appear in Woonsocket, Rhode Island at 239 Summer Street.

22 Jan 1935  •  RI Census shows Jeremiah working for a Candle Company out of Newark, NJ as a salesman.

3 Apr 1940  •  US Census show Jeremiah and family sill living at 239 Summer Street.  

1942  •  Draft card Shows Jeremiah working for the Mack Mill Candle Company of Syracuse, New York. He was 52.

1945 • Last record of Jeremiah being employed as a salesman. He would die six years later.

27 NOV 1951 •  Died in Woonsocket, Providence, Rhode Island, USA.  Listed as a salesman. He died at age 62.
